Professor Amer Aziz is a world renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon currently heading the Orthopaedic & Spine unit at Lahore Medical & Dental College / Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, and Surgimed Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. He was elected to the collage of physician and surgeons of Pakistan councilor securing the highest number of votes in the country. Through his efforts AO Spine international Switzerland, the largest spine organization in the world, has awarded a full fledge chapter to Pakistan and Prof. Amer Aziz is its founding chairman. A member of board of governors of UHS (University of Health Science). The only spinal unit in Pakistan training Orthopaedic spinal surgeons in Pakistan is being run by Prof. Amer Aziz. Johnson & Johnson Pakistan and Pakistan Orthopaedic Association are sponsoring spinal fellowships here. Our team is training the highest number of FCPS (Orth) trainees in Pakistan. About 70 people have gone though this to date. We perform all kinds of arthroscopic procedures, joint replacements, trauma management, deformity surgery, TB and infection control procedures. Limb lengthening by ILIZAROV method. Prof. Amer Aziz aspires to set up a state of art spine unit and train the best Orthopaedic surgeons in Pakistan.
