Qualifications

Prof. Dr. Farrukh Zaman is a highly qualified medical professional and has numerous qualifications and degrees. He has completed his MBBS as well as his FCPS. He has furthermore received his FRCOG. He is a member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).

Prof. Dr. Farrukh Zaman is involved in raising awareness for the reproductive health of women. In one conference he spoke about reproductive health challenges in Pakistan. In the conference he spoke about issues family physicians and gynecologists face in the context of our country. He said that these doctors should work to improve the status and wellbeing of women in our country, which includes social, physical and mental wellbeing. Women’s health needs to be taken seriously their whole lives, not just during their reproductive years. He then spoke about the global goals relating to women’s health and wellbeing which included universal education and health, a reduction in infant and childbirth mortality rates, and access to reproductive and family planning facilities.

Prof. Dr. Farrukh Zaman has many areas of interest and specialties in his field; he is interested in family planning. In an article where he was interviewed he mentioned how girls should have babies after the age of 20. The doctor said how women should ideally have children after the age of 21. He said they are still developing physically up until this age so it is not safe for them to have babies before, he also said they are mentally and emotionally not of the maturity to have kids before this. He explained how teen pregnancies have no positives and often result in more C-sections.
